The Hokkaido Republic was established as a democratic, Japanese-American hybrid nation. The Hokkaido Republic has been at the front of questionable events during it's history on the server, including a significant rumoured case of admin abuse including world editing and gaining funds into the nation and capital (Sapporo) bank. However the claims have not been confirmed as true. Former President 0xbit served from the 12th April 2025 to 4th August 2025 (Approximately 114 days). The stepping down of leadership by 0xbit led to two split nations and a power vacuum with now The Hokkaido Republic and Better Hokkaido formerly led by Korey4907 with it's capital of Wakkanai, As of 6th September President Hosentil has stepped down leaving KitKat_Kaylee to power.

KitKat_Kaylee served as the acting de-facto leader of The Hokkaido Republic believing in the One Hokkaido for the week whilst Hosentil was banned, Hosentil taking his righteous place as Hokkaido leader after his unban.

The SPQM Invasion of the Americas was a continent-wide military campaign spearheaded by [[SPQM]], under the command of [[RomanDiCario]]. Beginning on July 4, the operation involved a series of high-level sieges and defections across both North and South America.

The campaign began with a coordinated double assault on Dallas and Philadelphia, and quickly escalated into one of the most aggressive wars in modern EarthPol history. RomanDiCario, supported by Spain, the Crimean Federation, and mercenaries from across Eurasia, launched what he declared to be a mission to “restore order” in the Americas.

== The Opening Strikes ==

The first attacks came on Independence Day, July 4. SPQM and Spanish forces stormed Dallas, facing minimal resistance. Roman personally intercepted and killed CommanderVideoYT and his ally in a preemptive ambush by the two, leading to the surrender of Dallas and the town's alignment with SPQM.

That same day, SPQM turned toward Philadelphia, where a larger NATO defensive force, including leaders like [[Quite_Toast]] and [[Ronnieldhino]], attempted to rally. Despite some success in capturing banner points, SPQM forces pushed them back using TNT carts and elite PvP fighters such as Hyrax, Naha, and Patati’s Delacroix division. Philadelphia fell the next day.
== Canada Falls: Oshawa ==

On July 5, the town of Oshawa near Toronto came under siege. The town's defenders, outnumbered and outflanked by Roman’s reinforced troops (including Japanese mercenaries like Pori_12c), surrendered without a prolonged battle.
== Turning Point: Siege of Houston ==

The brutal Siege of Houston on July 12–13 marked the most destructive engagement yet. Home to over 40 players, the city was heavily fortified. Roman planted a banner outside the city at dawn, unleashing mercenaries from Spain and Crimea.

After pushing defenders into the city, SPQM’s troops engaged in house-to-house combat, massacring residents and breaching bunkers. The battle turned briefly in NATO’s favor when Tobikoer (Spain) and Hyrax were banned mid-conflict, costing SPQM 12,000 points.

Yet, Roman pressed on. After 13 sessions of non-stop assault, Houston collapsed on July 13. Civilian casualties were extensive.
== July 17: Honduras & Buenos Aires ==

On July 17, SPQM launched a coordinated two-front siege targeting:

* Honduras, defended by a 30-player NATO coalition within their ganks,

* Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, which was poorly defended

In Honduras, intense fighting broke out near the pyramid gates. A massive TNT minecart launcher stalled SPQM’s progress, but internal disorganization and infighting among the defenders allowed SPQM to gain ground. They ultimately won 11 of 12 battle sessions.

Meanwhile, Buenos Aires fell with minimal resistance. Argentina subsequently severed ties with NATO and joined the SPQM coalition.

The repeated defeats shattered confidence in the USA and NATO leadership. Key towns such as:

While Honduras was under siege, the main battle of SPQM during this weekend, SPQM launched a simultaneous attack on Buenos Aires. The city lacked fortifications and defenders, and fell quickly.

Scattered counterattacks by NATO and Argentinian defenders were quickly repelled. No serious resistance was mounted.

After 12 sessions, SPQM forces stormed and plundered the capital.

Explosions echoed outside the Honduran capital as RomanDiCario unleashed TNT barrages near the city walls. His actions later drew staff warnings due to minor town griefing. A siege banner was placed, and within hours, an army of 20 to 30 mercenaries—personally financed by Roman—descended upon the battlefield.

Resistance was fierce. Over 30 NATO fighters were entrenched, having already constructed a defensive "gank" at the pyramid's entrance. The battle was intense and hard-fought. The NATO-USA coalition retaliated with a devastating sky-high TNT minecart launcher, targeting SPQM cappers near the banner and delaying progress.

Despite the stiff resistance, SPQM forces persisted. Across 12 grueling battle sessions, they managed to gain 1,000+ points per session, slowly wearing down the defenders. Desperation grew within NATO ranks as internal conflict erupted—USA members were caught hand-brewing potions within the gank, and infighting between USA and [[Chiraq]] actions fractured their coordination.

Yet SPQM's resolve to attain victory was unshakeable.

After 12 full battle sessions, SPQM emerged victorious, winning 11 out of 12 rounds. The United States managed to claim but a single fleeting victory.

Soyrusalem (Also known as Soypolis) was a town situated in North West Israel. It was created on 2025/6/7. It used to be the most populated town, as well as the fastest growing, and biggest city/nation with 100 members at its peak. It was given to [[pmkcanadian]] and then [[Synistor]] in a deal by CORE_DUMP_ after the town died out.

One can presume the town was disbanded on the day Synistor went to the Americas, turning the town into an outpost.

== The Opening Strikes ==

The first attacks came on Independence Day, July 4. SPQM and Spanish forces stormed Dallas, facing minimal resistance. Roman personally intercepted and killed CommanderVideoYT and his ally in a preemptive ambush by the two, leading to the surrender of Dallas and the town's alignment with SPQM.

That same day, SPQM turned toward Philadelphia, where a larger NATO defensive force, including leaders like [[Quite_Toast]] and [[Ronnieldhino]], attempted to rally. Despite some success in capturing banner points, SPQM forces pushed them back using TNT carts and elite PvP fighters such as Hyrax, Naha, and Patati’s Delacroix division. Philadelphia fell the next day.
== Canada Falls: Oshawa ==

On July 5, the town of Oshawa near Toronto came under siege. The town's defenders, outnumbered and outflanked by Roman’s reinforced troops (including Japanese mercenaries like Pori_12c), surrendered without a prolonged battle.
== Turning Point: Siege of Houston ==

The brutal Siege of Houston on July 12–13 marked the most destructive engagement yet. Home to over 40 players, the city was heavily fortified. Roman planted a banner outside the city at dawn, unleashing mercenaries from Spain and Crimea.

After pushing defenders into the city, SPQM’s troops engaged in house-to-house combat, massacring residents and breaching bunkers. The battle turned briefly in NATO’s favor when Tobikoer (Spain) and Hyrax were banned mid-conflict, costing SPQM 12,000 points.

Yet, Roman pressed on. After 13 sessions of non-stop assault, Houston collapsed on July 13. Civilian casualties were extensive.
== July 17: Honduras & Buenos Aires ==

On July 17, SPQM launched a coordinated two-front siege targeting:

* Honduras, defended by a 30-player NATO coalition within their ganks,

* Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, which was poorly defended

In Honduras, intense fighting broke out near the pyramid gates. A massive TNT minecart launcher stalled SPQM’s progress, but internal disorganization and infighting among the defenders allowed SPQM to gain ground. They ultimately won 11 of 12 battle sessions.

Meanwhile, Buenos Aires fell with minimal resistance. Argentina subsequently severed ties with NATO and joined the SPQM coalition.

The repeated defeats shattered confidence in the USA and NATO leadership. Key towns such as:

'''Crete''', officially the '''City of Crete''', is a city within the [[Eastern Roman Empire]] which is situated to the southeast of Sparta. The city is known for its layered, Byzantinian-Minoan fusion style of architecture.

== Establishment ==

Crete was established on June 8th, 2025 by [[MattIsOff]] following his departure from the town of [[Constantinople]]. The area was chosen for its natural fortifications, proximity to the rest of the Eastern Roman Empire, and beautiful sea.

At the start, the city prided itself on its rapid economic growth, in thanks to MattIsOff having mined in Mexico for approximately half the servers uptime for the first 4 days. Using the newly attained wealth, claims were quickly established, first covering the entirety of Heraklion, now the Central district, and later the rest of the island.

After the island was established, many friends of MattIsOff were invited, but two key players stood out - [[Puntaro]], the co-mayor of Crete, and [[exodusky]], the person best described as the "glue of the city".

== The Execution of Exodus ==

One day, a certain member of the town opened a hatch under [[exodusky]], leading them to falling into lava and dying. This infuriated exodusky, which lead to them randomly placing stairs across the city, mildly griefing it in the process. MattIsOff temporarily revoked their trusted rank, and this turned out to be the straw which broke the camels back. Due to no longer being able to take it anymore, exodusky left the nation to go to the "Exodus rock" and took her dogs with her. This would not be the last time the server would hear the name of "Exodus rock"

Matt chased her to the ends of the Peloponnese, claimed the rock first and looked to have her rejoin, yet it was to no avail. Due to his stance on traitors due to the recent rebellion by Athens, MattIsOff was forced to attack and kill exodusky, hurting some of her dogs in the process and taking her armor to himself, yet never using it.

Exodus, enraged, decided to kill all of the dogs herself, as she no longer wished to have any attachments to the server. Exodus proceeded to first join Monaco, then leave it again. After a few weeks, exodus and Matt made up, but exodusky, once one of the more active players of Crete, now only occasionally logs on.

This conflict serves as a tale on internal disputes and how one mustn't let their rage cloud their better judgement.

== Interim Capital ==

On July 16th, after [[pmkcanadian]] was banned, MattIsOff took over as the Basileus, Emperor of the [[Eastern Roman Empire]], thus making Crete the capital while he decided on where to move the capital after [[pmkcanadian]] was still left as the mayor of [[Constantinople]], even after his ban.
On July 25th, MattIsOff became the Mayor of [[Constantinople]], succeeding [[EnnEiro]] and [[pmkcanadian]], moving the capital back to it in the process, thus ending Crete's status as the Interim Capital.

== Battle of Exodus Rock ==

On July 26th, the previously insignificant outpost of "Exodus rock" came under siege by Turkey at the worst possible time. The mayorship had just been transferred to Puntaro, so he had no time to set a co-mayor, yet he was not available to play that week, making it impossible to defend the town with traditional means. Despite this, the outpost was successfully defended thanks to the help of [[SPQM]], [[Sicily]], [[German Confederation]] & other allies.

== Overview ==

The SPQM Invasion of the Americas was an a continent-wide military campaign spearheaded by [[SPQM]], under the command of [[RomanDiCario]]. Beginning on July 4, the operation has involved a series of high-level sieges and defections across both North and South America.

The campaign began with a coordinated double assault on Dallas and Philadelphia, and quickly escalated into one of the most aggressive wars in modern EarthPol history. RomanDiCario, supported by Spain, the Crimean Federation, and mercenaries from across Eurasia, launched what he declared to be a mission to “restore order” in the Americas.

They are most well known for their rapid conquest of the Americas, turning it from an inactive region on the server into one which rivals The Old world, Europe in conflict and activity.

At its peak, SPQM was a dominant imperial power in the Americas, commanding vast territories and boasting a highly organized military that challenged the traditional dominance of the United States and Canada on the server.

This rendered the /n spawn SPQM command unusable, effectively cutting off reinforcements.

With no forward spawn points and key leaders offline or away, NATO forces captured the banner uncontested during the night. Attempts to respond were too late; SPQM’s infrastructure was compromised, morale collapsed, and mass capping by NATO went unchallenged. In the final siege sessions, resistance vanished entirely, culminating in the disbandment of SPQM before the battle even officially concluded.

The immediate aftermath saw Falcon plundered and the political map of the Americas redrawn: the Republic of Florida, Confederate States, and Nation of California were formed, while several towns rejoined the [[United States]]. The collapse ended SPQM’s invasion of the Americas in an anticlimactic fashion, transforming a powerful coalition into scattered successor states almost overnight.

= Legacy and Vision =

Though SPQM ended abruptly, it's legacy can still be seen on the server through its successors - the Confederate States, Republic of Florida and Nation of California. The towns in these nations initially were funded by SPQM, which lead to these succcessor states being well-off from the beginning, giving them the ability to still be regionally successful.

It left behind proof that the United States and Canada weren't uncontested global superpowers, but much rather regional powers which could be defeated.

== The Opening Strikes ==

The first attacks came on Independence Day, July 4. SPQM and Spanish forces stormed Dallas, facing minimal resistance. Roman personally intercepted and killed CommanderVideoYT and his ally in a preemptive ambush by the two, leading to the surrender of Dallas and the town's alignment with SPQM.

That same day, SPQM turned toward Philadelphia, where a larger NATO defensive force, including leaders like [[Quite_Toast]] and [[Ronnieldhino]], attempted to rally. Despite some success in capturing banner points, SPQM forces pushed them back using TNT carts and elite PvP fighters such as Hyrax, Naha, and Patati’s Delacroix division. Philadelphia fell the next day.
== Canada Falls: Oshawa ==

On July 5, the town of Oshawa near Toronto came under siege. The town's defenders, outnumbered and outflanked by Roman’s reinforced troops (including Japanese mercenaries like Pori_12c), surrendered without a prolonged battle.
== Turning Point: Siege of Houston ==

The brutal Siege of Houston on July 12–13 marked the most destructive engagement yet. Home to over 40 players, the city was heavily fortified. Roman planted a banner outside the city at dawn, unleashing mercenaries from Spain and Crimea.

After pushing defenders into the city, SPQM’s troops engaged in house-to-house combat, massacring residents and breaching bunkers. The battle turned briefly in NATO’s favor when Tobikoer (Spain) and Hyrax were banned mid-conflict, costing SPQM 12,000 points.

Yet, Roman pressed on. After 13 sessions of non-stop assault, Houston collapsed on July 13. Civilian casualties were extensive.
== July 17: Honduras & Buenos Aires ==

On July 17, SPQM launched a coordinated two-front siege targeting:

* Honduras, defended by a 30-player NATO coalition within their ganks,

* Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, which was poorly defended

In Honduras, intense fighting broke out near the pyramid gates. A massive TNT minecart launcher stalled SPQM’s progress, but internal disorganization and infighting among the defenders allowed SPQM to gain ground. They ultimately won 11 of 12 battle sessions.

Meanwhile, Buenos Aires fell with minimal resistance. Argentina subsequently severed ties with NATO and joined the SPQM coalition.

== Siege of Crete ==

The Siege of Crete, also known as the Battle of Exodus Rock, was a battle best defined as unneeded, yet essential. It began as a siege on a 4 chunk outpost in the Aegean sea, claimed as a joke and dubbed "Exodus Rock" from an internal gag in the island of [[Crete]]. Yet this outpost would start one of the bloodiest battles in the history of the [[Eastern Roman Empire]].

This battle marked the first time the Eastern Roman Empire directly faced Turkey in combat. The Eastern Roman Empire had previously resorted to a strategy of simply letting Turkey siege their inactive towns and then paying off the siege costs, but this time, it was different. Crete was a major culture centre, and it could not be given up without a fight.

What didn't help the Cretans though, was the fact that the mayorship of [[Crete]] had recently been transferred from [[MattIsOff]], the now Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire to [[Puntaro]], who was coincidentally out of town, and thus unable to set up any facilities, such as ganks, leaving the defenders at a massive disadvantage.

In the first sieges, Crete was able rally their immediate allies - [[German Confederation]] and [[Australia]], mildly offsetting the attackers, leaving the score under +10000. By the 4th stage though, the full force of Turkey had been rallied, and they were gaining thousands of points every session

== Alliance with SPQM ==

The [[Eastern Roman Empire]] had been in discussions with an alliance with [[SPQM]], and this battle came to be the point which would decide their stance. With the help of SPQM and its allies, Sicily and Spain, the attackers were pushed back and the trajectory of the battle was looking heavily in favour of the defenders.

As a gesture of good faith, SPQM made an outpost as close as they could to the siege, building a tunnel from it to the battlefield. This proved pivotal to the battle, as without it, there would be no way for the defenders to get to Exodus Rock.

== Spawnkilling incident ==

At some point, a defender had accidentally set their spawn inside the Turkish gank, thus leading to a repetitive occurance of spawnkilling. Due to this, these points were neutralized and Turkey received a 5000 point penalty.

== Final session ==

The final battle session was so even on both sides, that the final score from the aggregate for it was -20 points, making the defenders at Crete victorious, with a final score of -5020 points, a mere 20 points from being a stalemate, proving that every kill, and every player on a banner in Siegewar counts.

== Aftermath ==

After the battle, the Eastern Roman Empire, grateful for the help from SPQM and it's allies, establish a mutual defense pact, promising to support SPQM in any of it's conflicts, same as it did them in the Battle of Exodus Rock.

The Siege of Falcon was a decisive battle in the Americas, part of NATO's attempt to halt SPQM's advance and influence in the world. The siege was spearheaded by the nation of Baltija on August 2nd against a town led by a banned mayor (Devourer of Cheese)

He launched TNT minecarts, but they were noticed by the enemy and shot down — though a few slipped through and managed to kill MoNoCuRvE and CakeLordFx, who were standing at the banner.

SPQM and their allies pushed toward the banner, and a fierce battle began around the platform. SPQM’s allies were eventually able to push NATO forces into their gank, allowing SPQM forces to start mass-capping the banner. NATO's attempts to effectively bomb the banner were intercepted by SPQM fighters, who had been strategically placed on top to shut them down.

After pushing defenders into the city, SPQM’s troops engaged in house-to-house combat, massacring residents and breaching bunkers. The battle turned briefly in NATO’s favor when Tobikoer (Spain) and Hyrax were banned mid-conflict, costing SPQM 12,000 points.

Yet, Roman pressed on. After 13 sessions of non-stop assault, Houston collapsed on July 13. Civilian casualties were extensive.
