MattIsOff Is the current leader of the Eastern Roman Empire in V7 and is a helper brought on for events.
Early Days
Matt joined the EarthPol and the Eastern Roman Empire with the invitation of EnnEiro. He quickly started getting resources, gaining rank #1 in mining during the early stages of the server by mining in the Americas. He then founded the town of Crete. He worked with his friends Exodusky and Puntaro to claim the entirety of the island of Crete as fast as they could.
After gaining complete control of the island, he focused primarily on politics as well as collecting gear and supplies.
Master Marksman
While the Church of Crete was being built, Matt climbed it, and was attempting to improve his aim with a bow, shooting at Puntaro on the ground. While doing so, Matt decided to aim at a nearby fence, where some horses were tied up, outside his render distance for entities. Doing so, he hit exodusky's horse, Rocinante on his first attempt, killing it instantly. This incident was one of the inciting factors for the following event of the Execution of Exodusky.
Execution of Exodusky
An argument between JC_1 and exodusky escalates when Matt restricts exodus’s building perms. She leaves in anger, taking all the dogs—including the mascot, Jason. Matt tries to reason with her, then attacks her, injuring some dogs in the process, and executing exodusky. Furious, exodus kills the rest to cut ties. Though she returned later, her activity remained low.
Early Political Career
He became the Eparch (meaning mayor) of Crete in V7. His style of governing was heavily inspired by Kentucky_'s Athens town. Athens, while in the process of leaving the Empire, attempted to sway Crete into joining the Hellenic Republican Front but, Matt refused this offer, showing loyalty to the Emperor.
Rise and Reign
After the Abdication of EnnEiro, the Empire held elections to decide its new Emperor and Caesar. In those elections Matt ran a smooth campaign and got second place, thus becoming the first Caesar of the Empire, the second in command to the Emperor, pmkcanadian.

Even bigger shoes to fill
Matt became the 3rd Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire in a one month timespan, after pmkcanadian was banned. This marked a new era of the Eastern Roman Empire, with Synistor being his second in command.
