Panama Canal
Information
The Panama Canal is most notably known as a disputed patch of land dedicated to opening trade from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean through an artificial canal. This article is dedicated to V7's Panama Canal.
There are two notable examples of this description, those being the old Panama City's Panama Canal, and the new and improved Pacific Empire Panama Canal.
The Unfinished Canal
The original, but unfinished Panama canal was controlled by the town of Panama City which was founded on June 15th, 2025, being only 2 chunks wide. The town of Panama City started construction of their canal shortly after their town's creation. The builder(s) of the old canal would be unable to finish construction after the mayor of Panama City, ObamaPentagon, was banned on July 31st, 2025.
The Improved Canal
Pacific workers began construction on a new and improved Panama Canal on August 26th, 2025. This improved canal was 3 chunks wide and was actually completed. After 2 days straight of deforesting, terraforming, material gathering, and building, the official and finished Panama Canal was completed and opened on August 28th, 2025.
The opening party attracted a mass of visitors, and even attracted the server owners 0xBit and MrTytanic. The construction was led by taurzan with the help of a few helpers.
