Senatus Populusque Mexicanus
Senatus Populusque Mexicanus, A.K.A. SPQM, was a nation in The Americas, once feared as a conquerors and imperialists, being the rivals of the United States and Canada in the region. They are most well known for their rapid conquest of the Americas, turning it from an inactive region on the server into one which rivals The Old world, Europe in conflict and activity.
Government and Society
SPQM was an autocracy, lead by RomanDiCario, with WrigglyGuitar as his second-in-command. He also delegated some roles to others, such as Jsteelers03, the Minister of Infrastructure.
As a society, SPQM focused on conquest, with the citizens of SPQM being the suppliers to their advancement.
Infrastructure and Development
SPQM controlled a vast amount of land in Central and North America, with many towns in and around the Gulf of Mexico, California and Texas.
They had large scale projects such as potentially the largest market on the server, as well as the tallest tower, which can be seen at Veracruz, however, since the collapse of SPQM, these projects have been halted.
History
SPQM Invasion of the Americas
Invasion of the Americas — Beginning on July 4, 2025, SPQM, led by Emperor RomanDiCario and backed by Sicilian, Spanish, Crimean, and other mercenary forces, launched a rapid series of sieges and defections across both North and South America. Key victories in Dallas, Philadelphia, Oshawa, Houston, Honduras, and Buenos Aires shattered NATO resistance and brought much of the continent under SPQM control. (See: SPQM Invasion of the Americas)
Downfall of SPQM
The Downfall of the SPQM occurred during the Siege of Falcon (August 1–2, 2025) and marked the sudden and complete collapse of the once-dominant alliance. Despite securing multiple early victories in the siege, SPQM’s fortunes reversed when their gank was sabotaged mid-battle by their own ally, the Hokkaido Republic, who, alongside Iran, broke and griefed the SPQM spawn. This rendered the /n spawn SPQM command unusable, effectively cutting off reinforcements.
With no forward spawn points and key leaders offline or away, NATO forces captured the banner uncontested during the night. Attempts to respond were too late; SPQM’s infrastructure was compromised, morale collapsed, and mass capping by NATO went unchallenged. In the final siege sessions, resistance vanished entirely, culminating in the disbandment of SPQM before the battle even officially concluded.
The immediate aftermath saw Falcon plundered and the political map of the Americas redrawn: the Republic of Florida, Confederate States, and Nation of California were formed, while several towns rejoined the United States. The collapse ended SPQM’s invasion of the Americas in an anticlimactic fashion, transforming a powerful coalition into scattered successor states almost overnight.
Legacy and Vision
Though SPQM ended abruptly, it's legacy can still be seen on the server through its successors - the Confederate States, Republic of Florida and Nation of California.
It left behind proof that the United States and Canada weren't uncontested superpowers, but much rather regional powers.
