Hokkaido Republic
The Hokkaido Republic was established as a democratic, Japanese-American hybrid nation. Its government operates under a U.S.-style constitutional framework, featuring elected institutions, western-style infrastructure, and English as the official language. Despite its western influences, the republic preserves Japanese cultural elements, particularly in naming conventions and architectural nods to the region’s heritage.
The republic promotes a theme often described as “New York City meets Japan,” and is currently undergoing major development with an American West aesthetic.

History
The Hokkaido Republic has been at the front of questionable events during it's history on the server, including a significant rumoured case of admin abuse including world editing and gaining funds into the nation and capital (Sapporo) bank. However the claims have not been confirmed as true. Former President 0xbit served from the 12th April 2025 to 4th August 2025 (Approximately 114 days). The stepping down of leadership by 0xbit led to two split nations and a power vacuum with now The Hokkaido Republic and Better Hokkaido formerly led by Korey4907 with it's capital of Wakkanai, As of 6th September President Hosentil has stepped down leaving KitKat_Kaylee to power.
KitKat_Kaylee has since served as the acting de-facto leader of The Hokkaido Republic believing in the One Hokkaido

The Hokkaido Republic has seen its leaders with differing ideologies and their main successes;
OxBit - Authoritarian Corporatist, built the mall, Sapporo tower, Hospital, Apartments
Hosentil - Pragmatic institutionalism, built potion farm, invasion of Wakkanai (Hokkaido Civil War), continued similar values as Oxbit saw increased success but decline in activity of overall membership
KitKat_Kaylee - Meritocratic Libertarianism, continued the invasion of Wakkanai
The Civil War
The Hokkaido Republic on the 5th of September invaded Wakkanai in a surprise invasion after the two split nations had lived in peace on the island, Better Hokkaido responded with soldiers of their own and the civil war is still ongoing as of 6th of September 2025.
