Nation History

HamHamHam_, commonly referred to as Ham, is a veteran player of EarthPol known for his involvement in Persia during Version 2 and as a prominent figure in the Byzantine Empire during Version 3. He is remembered for his building contributions in towns such as Athens and Constantinople, and his participation in the First and Second Sparta Wars. Currently he is a ranking member of the Federal Assembly in the German Confederation_(Astra)

HamHamHam_ also has played a ton of other servers and lead a ton of other nations that are not mentioned here and were lowkey way more successful -ham

EarthPol Version 2

Ham first joined EarthPol on December 10th, 2020 during Version 2, as part of a small group that founded the nation of Persia. The project was led by DonutSlayer, with towns such as Persepolis and Tehran forming the core of the nation. Persia saw limited development — Reincarnate and Donut built most of its structures, including a Persian temple, while others were more passively involved. Despite its humble size, Persia expanded briefly by adding Babylon, which featured one of the most well-crafted temples on EarthPol at the time.

The group disbanded quickly due to a renewed interest in Hearts of Iron IV and the appearance of a new server, AtomicMC.

EarthPol Version 3

Ham played a much larger role in Version 3 of EarthPol, joining the Byzantine Empire alongside familiar faces such as Reincarnate, Hibitt, and DonutSlayer. The nation was formed in response to dissatisfaction with previous servers and led by an inner circle that valued camaraderie and shared history. Ham helped construct and lead the town of Athens, which featured an amphitheater and the foundations of the Acropolis. His builds stood in contrast to the sea-walled city of Constantinople, led by Donut.

During this version, Ham was heavily involved in internal and external conflicts, including the infamous First Sparta War and Second Sparta War. Both wars revolved around disputes with Swevy, a former ally who defected to SPQR. Ham participated in diplomatic efforts, including private DMs with Swevy, and supported siege efforts led by Byzantine PvPers. The wars culminated in a controversial plugin exploitation incident where allies intentionally died to manipulate siege scores, leading to temporary bans that were later lifted.

In the aftermath, Ham remained active within the Byzantine political-military structure, navigating alliances and betrayals across the Mediterranean.

Early Return and Egypt (EarthPol V4)

Ham returned to EarthPol during Version 4 after a hiatus, reuniting with his core group. Although the group originally planned to form the Benelux in the Low Countries, Ham proposed relocating to Egypt, which led to the formation of towns like Cairo and Alexandria. While the group was hesitant, they followed his lead. Cairo quickly became a centerpiece, with pyramids constructed rapidly and a clear vision led by Ham. However, Alexandria lacked a strong purpose and mostly became a grinder town. The group grew bored, and despite projects like the Suez Canal and diplomatic stirrings in Italy, interest waned.

The CCP Project and Pivot to the UK

Following the decline of Egypt’s activity, Ham and his group shifted focus to China, forming a roleplay faction called the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Their goal was to take over leadership of a large pre-existing Chinese nation and steer it in a Communist direction. While cities like Shengzhang and Qingdao were founded, the plan to win an election for leadership fell apart due to inactivity. During this time, Ham reached out to friends and former allies to pursue a much more ambitious plan—establishing the United Kingdom.

HamHamHam_ never joined China and I didn't even know this was a thing. But I'm too lazy to edit this whole thing and give my life story -ham

Founding and Leading the United Kingdom

The United Kingdom, spearheaded by Ham, became one of the most powerful and organized nations of V4. The plan involved uniting strong PvPers and political veterans from past EarthMC servers to build a British mega-nation. Ham worked with players like Vezics, WSN_, ArcticMe, NokiaRingtone, and DonutSlayer to create towns such as West London, Cardiff, and Manchester. The UK expanded aggressively, first taking over Caerdydd from the North Sea Empire and later defending London in a high-stakes siege.

Under Ham’s leadership, the UK merged with Scotland, sieged the Kingdom of Myrmidons for its wealth, and defeated Truro, a Deutschland overseas colony. However, the eventual Siege of Edinburgh, led by Earth and Deutschland in retaliation, proved disastrous. The UK lost the siege due to a lack of allies and internal betrayal, partially stemming from secret backroom diplomacy between Ham, SliverSlide, and Deutschland leadership. Decline and Legacy

After the loss at Edinburgh and internal discontent, Ham’s influence waned. The UK had overextended and lost key battles, and the nation began to fragment. Nevertheless, Ham remains a highly influential figure in EarthPol history. His ability to organize, his willingness to pivot strategy and location, and his knack for drawing in both veteran and new players made him a force to be reckoned with throughout V4.

Legacy

Ham is remembered for his steadfast loyalty, diplomacy in the face of conflict, and his architectural contributions — particularly in Athens. While not a front-line PvPer, his steady presence and moral compass helped guide the Byzantine Empire through chaotic times.
