Overview

imide (first joined October 23rd, 2020) is a builder, diplomat, journalist, developer and veteran player of EarthPol. While being mostly in the background in recent EarthPol history, imide was incredibly influential during the first version of EarthPol, where he was appointed Chairman of the UN after the retirement of the previous chairman Gekents. During this time, he orchestrated and executed the UN siege of Finland; the first ever battle in EarthPol's history.

More recently, imide is known for being the Mayor of Catania (Nebula); building up the town with the help of the previous caretakers (of which I forgot the usernames, sorry!). Then-owner of the server 0xbit described Catania as "his favorite town in the version". The town's bird-eye photo is currently being used for EarthPol promotion material.

Ignis (V1)

imide first joined EarthPol on October 23rd, 2020. He chose to join the Empire of Japan's capital of Kyoto, where he made friends with the leadership and developed the city.

Conflict with Finland

Finland in V1 was a very controversial nation. Being run by player Apinaleipapuu, the citizens of Finland were known for their racist, homophobic, transphobic actions, along with using hacked clients for an advantage, and killing friendly players in the wilderness. One of Japan's highest-ranking members and, much later, a staff member for EarthPol, Chairlatte was transgender. Finland attacked her in chat, along with targeting her to kill. Sometime in late November, Finland stole a shield with the trans flag on it and burned it. Leader Apinaleipapuu recorded it and posted the video onto YouTube with the title "Japan päska flag" (literally Japan suicide flag). After this attack, the members of Finland started to raid the lands outside of Kyoto and Tokyo, stalking the citizens until they made claims to murder them. The Finns used Kill-Aura in this attack. After this, the Empire of Japan launched a complaint with the UN, and with Chairman Imide being a citizen of Japan, action was taken.

God-bow incident

During a promotion for a Minecraft YouTuber, 0xbit gave the YouTuber a god bow while messing around in Athens. However, after spawning 5 Wardens, everyone died, including the YouTuber and 0xbit. imide was the first person to respawn, and amidst the chaos, grabbed the godbow off the ground, stashed it in his offhand, and left. The admins assumed the bow despawned and thus left without suspicion. However, unbeknownst to them, a random player has an impossibly powerful weapon.

During the Siege of Athens (Ecliptica) (whenever a group of PVPers sieged Athens), outnumbered and outmatched, Greek President HamHamHam_ and DonutSlayer49 asked for imide to use the godbow. Of course, imide agreed, cause it was funny as hell. The clips of the ensuing 'massacre' are located below. Viewer discretion is advised.
